Hey Real Lifers!
Aren’t you glad we don’t live in a perpetual winter?
I got a little sunburn this week and didn’t even care. Because it means spring is almost here.
With it comes one of God’s quiet miracles. What has been dead, dormant, gray, and lifeless for the last couple of months begins to come alive again. With the warmth of the sun comes life. The days get longer. The mornings feel more tolerable. Birds start chirping. Kids start playing outside again. Trees that looked finished just weeks ago begin to bloom.
Nothing about them forced it. Nothing about them manufactured it. They simply responded to the warmth.
It’s a reminder that God built seasons into His world and into our lives.
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (ESV)
I don’t know what season you’re in right now. But I do know this: some of you are walking through things that have felt gray, lifeless, and cold for a while. Seasons where hope feels distant. Seasons where growth feels slow. Seasons where you’ve wondered if anything will ever change.
But winter never gets the final word.
Spring always comes.
The same God who brings life back to trees brings life back to hearts. The same God who warms the earth warms weary souls. The same God who designed seasons promises renewal.
May God bring warmth where things have felt cold.
May He bring life where things have felt dormant.
May He bring rebirth where things have felt worn down and weary.
Spring is coming.
