Paul Wouters has entered the following ballot position for draft-ietf-lamps-x509-alg-none-08: Yes When responding, please keep the subject line intact and reply to all email addresses included in the To and CC lines. (Feel free to cut this introductory paragraph, however.) Please refer to https://www.ietf.org/about/groups/iesg/statements/handling-ballot-positions/ for more information about how to handle DISCUSS and COMMENT positions. The document, along with other ballot positions, can be found here: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-lamps-x509-alg-none/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMENT: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for a clear draft with explanation of why to do this. I have one small comment: If the subject is not empty, senders MAY use the subject field, as in a self-signed certificate. I had trouble parsing this at first. How about: If the subject is not empty, senders MAY use the subject field, similar in how they would use it in a self-signed certificate.
