We have worked in some of the most challenging places and situations in the world, with a never-give-up mindset. Through partnerships with key stakeholders and committed organizations and reserves, WeWild Africa is able to make decisions quickly and provide seemingly impossible solutions. Since 2019 the organization has directly impacted over 900 animals through rescue or rewilding. A Sense of Urgency Too often animals are left to die due to bureaucratic delays, permitting issues, and fundraising challenges. Our team offers these animals a lifeline, being responsive and capable of addressing urgent situations effectively.

During a patrol with Hope for Wildlife Helicopter Services and Wildscapes Veterinary Services in a South African reserve, our team encountered the dire consequences of poaching, finding numerous animals, including 9 buffaloes, killed by poachers. A hyena was collared for research to enhance reserve management. This effort, supported by Rhino Connect and the Wildlife Emergency Fund, underscores the urgent need for increased awareness and support to combat poaching.

On November 20, 2019, this mission successfully rescued over 80 animals from the Blaauwbosch Private Game Reserve. The owner of the property was an Arab Sheikh who thought he was above the law, fortunately, the team proved him wrong.
