This is the You Tube channel for robgillthings.net. I am an independent media artist working out of Toronto, Canada. Much of my work involves interactive software that I write and present either online on my website, or at shows and events. The online apps use three.js and tone.js. I use OpenFrameworks and C++ for installation work, Blender for 3D models and animation, Supercollider for sound, and the Kinect sensor for interaction. I am interested in using artwork as the medium to study psyche. The applications that I write employ different strategies to reveal different aspects of living presence in the participants (you), author (me), and the environment/context within which all of this activity takes place. I create all the audio/music that accompanies the videos - see my Bandcamp link below. I am really interested in creating true audio art as opposed to music. I also take screenshots of the software in action and turn them into prints and paintings, see blob shop below.
