About Us
Project Tailwinds is an extraordinary international opportunity for RAF Air Cadets, taking place in Australia from March to April 2026.
Over two weeks, cadets will take part in a unique programme blending aviation, leadership, STEM, and cultural exploration. Highlights include visiting RAAF bases, experiencing flights, engaging with mission planning and air traffic control, and developing vital teamwork and leadership skills.
Beyond aviation, cadets will discover Australia’s history, wildlife, and national identity, gaining a truly global perspective. This project is about more than travel—it’s about inspiring the next generation of leaders, building confidence, resilience, and independence, and creating experiences that last a lifetime.
By supporting Project Tailwinds, you are helping young people broaden their horizons, represent the RAF Air Cadets internationally, and return with skills and insights that will benefit both their futures and their communities.
