Full Professor and Academic Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. She earned her Doctorate in Biological Sciences from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. A specialist in molecular biology and microbiology, her research focuses on the role of microbial cooperation and diversity in enhancing plant growth under challenging environmental conditions, with a particular emphasis on nutrient deficiency, salinity, and stressors related to climate change. She has led competitive research projects, participated in international collaborations, and contributed to national scientific initiatives. She has published extensively, holds invention patents, and has supervised undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. She actively promotes outreach, gender equity in her research teams, and the development of interdisciplinary research groups. Alongside her academic career, she has accumulated broad experience in un
