New £2.1 million project aims to revolutionise implantable medical devices by harnessing power from glucose in the body. Led by the University of Bath and in collaboration with the Universities of Oxford, Newcastle, and Sheffield, the GLUTRONICS project will develop glucose-powered bioelectronics that can help patients with life-long conditions by eliminating the need for bulky battery packs that may need recharging or replacement.
