I have a salvage-title vehicle for my young son. He got t-boned, and needed a new passenger door. It was not an insurance claim, due to the low value of the vehicle. I just wanted a used junkyard door put on, to have functionality at the lowest cost. I didn't want to pay for a perfect repair, given the low vehicle value. Two other auto-body repair companies refused to help. New Central was happy to help. They found a good used door at a junkyard, in a matching color, and gave me an estimate of $1,299. Then to my utter amazement, the actual final invoice came in at $797 -- $502 LESS than the original estimate! These guys were fantastic in every way! I had New Central replace two side mirrors on my Toyota van. They were simply wonderful to work with, were patient, and did not try to upsell any services. The cost was reasonable and they worked with my insurance company. Also, they clean the car inside and out before you pick it up! It was also really convenient for anyone in South Minneapolis. I would highly recommend New Central for your needs.
Our recent experience working with New Central Auto Body as they serviced a collision claim on our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica was extremely positive. Don’t avoid this top-notch neighborhood small business just because they may be “out-of-network” with your insurance company. They were out-of-network with ours, but it didn’t matter. They worked with our insurance company to get everything covered except our deductible - same as if they would have been “in-network”. Quality work, including making sure to order parts specific to the vehicle’s make vs lower-grade, generic parts. Great customer service, including getting the initial estimate back very fast. We left our vehicle with them before we left town for a week. They completed processing the claim with insurance and began work on the van. Highly recommend!
