About Me
Colo Nyathi, also known by his real name Alan Colonnetti, is a writer, graphic designer, and electronic music creator. Born in Tortona, Italy, and raised in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Colo's unique upbringing has shaped his creative voice, blending diverse cultural influences into his work.
His educational journey began at Coghlan Junior School for Grade 1 and 2, followed by Milton Junior School for Grades 3-5, and later, Hillside Junior School for Grades 5-7. He continued his secondary education at Christian Brothers College in Bulawayo, where he gained a strong foundation in subjects such as English, Mathematics, French, and Science. These formative years laid the foundation for his love of learning and creativity, which continue to influence his work today.
Colo’s debut novella, Nyatho, explores themes of memory, connection, and personal growth. The story, deeply introspective and emotionally resonant, captures the fleeting yet profound moments that shape who we become.
