Hello and welcome to Backbone. We are here for you. We are passionate about what we do and it shows in how we do it. Your pain is all about you. At Backbone we take a radically new approach to pain, formulated from over 30 years of experience and research in the field. We embrace the concept of ‘wholism’ in that there is no separation between mind and body; we are one integrated set of systems constantly seeking balance. We have deliberately added a ‘W’ because the perfectly good word holism seems to have been relegated to the domain of ‘snake oil’ and the ‘flakerati’. We have taken all the best elements of physical and manual therapy, pain science, prescribed specialised exercise therapy, neurophysiology, neuro-biology, neuro-psychology and other areas of medical science, as well as the best of those from the philosophies of ancient knowledge and practice, to formulate what we believe is the most definitive approach to treating pain of all types.
