Amps Kill uses dense, hyper-synthetic textures that carry intensely focused musical material. This meeting of dense sound design with minimalist composition serves as a logical meeting of Bailey's history in aggrotech and noise, with his formal classical training.

Amps Kill is the boundary-pushing experimental project of composer, improvisor, and audio engineer Stephen Bailey. Influenced by drone metal, noise, experimental electronic, and industrial, Amps Kill sees Bailey taking a bold leap into uncharted sonic territory, eschewing organic sounds in favor of massive, hyper-synthetic, intensely focused textures. The result is a highly personal and expressive blend of deconstructed club, mandible, and post-industrial. As former director of the Denver-based new music group Nebula Ensemble and half of the Aggro-tech duo Offerings to Odin, Bailey's musical background is diverse and eclectic, spanning aggrotech and noise to avant garde chamber music. His formal compositional training in minimalism, spectralism, musical surrealism, and improvisatory live performance adds depth and nuance to his output. Amps Kill, Bailey's broad experience and varied background makes for a project that is both relentlessly intense and thoughtfully composed.
