Urbanowski: The arts need more investment from the state - San José Spotlight
Artists make California vibrant, innovative and culturally rich, yet our state ranks 35th nationally in per capita arts funding. Artist Ecosystem Information Survey
Artist Ecosystem Information Survey
Thank you for taking a few minutes to take this artist support survey. SVCREATES is committed to our goal of strengthening the arts ecosystem in Santa Clara County by providing resources to artists at every stage of their career. We want to make sure artists like you stay here and continue to contribute to our vibrant arts culture. To ensure our programs, including the Content Emerging Artist Award, remain relevant and effective, we are continually gathering data on the needs of artists in our community. Your honest and anonymous feedback will directly inform how we shape our grant cycles and professional development offerings in the years ahead. We anticipate this survey will take 5-10 minutes.

Gilroy Arts Roundtable - Opening Act Sign-Up
Opening acts are 5-minute artistic performances, demonstrations, or presentations to kick off our Gilroy Arts Roundtable meetings. They can be musical performances, dance performances, poetry readings, art tutorials— whatever form your artistic practice takes, we'd love for you to showcase it to Gilroy's creative community! If there is space in our calendar for your opening act, we will reach out to assign you a month. Gilroy Arts Roundtable meetings are on the last Wednesday of the month, 6:30-8pm. The location will rotate throughout the year and be announced on social media and via email ahead of time. For questions, please email Jessica Kwong at jessica@svcreates.org.
