Hi, I’m Midnite. Born and raised in Bristol, I now live in London with my wife and five kids (yes, five!). I’m a singer, songwriter, rapper, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and one half of the hip-hop duo Running On Empty. Growing up in a home full of singing and dancing, music has always been part of me. I spent my childhood composing on the piano or tapping out beats on anything I could find. When I was 16, my parents separated, and I picked up the guitar my dad left behind. I taught myself to play, and that’s when my love for songwriting truly began. Though I love performing, I’m naturally quiet and reserved. Writing helps me express emotions and experiences I can’t say out loud. My music blends folk, hip-hop, soul, and rock, inspired by artists like The Roots and Etta James. I’ve been lucky to have my music featured on BBC 1Xtra, BBC Introducing, and Radio London. After years of crafting solo material, I’m excited to finally share it with you. I hope you enjoy the journey!
