Making OCaml Safe for Performance Engineering Presented by: Janes Dyer, Software Engineer at Jane Street This talk describes the various ways in which Jane Street has modified our primary programming language -- OCaml -- to better suit our needs. It focuses on the development of two main features: local allocations and unboxed types, as well as our commitment to using and contributing to the open-source ecosystem. We hope to meet intellectually curious problem solvers - you don't need experience in finance to work at Jane Street. Food and swag will be provided. When: Wednesday, March 18, 2026 @ 4:30 pm AEDT Where: On Campus Please submit this form by Monday, March 16 at 11:59pm if you're interested in attending. We will confirm attendees via email by EOD on Tuesday, March 17 - we hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please reach out to anz-connect@janestreet.com.
