Our mission is to add healthy years of life by delaying ageing, prolonging disease-free life, and maintaining high functionality. We synergise basic and clinical science to develop biomarkers for measuring ageing, to test interventions that slow down ageing, and to create personalised implementation strategies that extend healthy life expectancy in Singapore and worldwide. At the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Healthy Longevity Translational Research Programme (HLTRP) under Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine aims to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the biology of ageing. We focus on identifying and manipulating common pathways that modulate ageing in lab settings (in vitro) and living organisms (in vivo), with the goal of translating these into real-world health solutions for all people.
