Thanks for Volunteering with KACB! Safety Guidelines: ● State law mandates that ALL person(s) working in the right-of-way wear a neon bright color safety vest. ● Look before you reach – you don’t want to pick up snakes or downed electrical wires by mistake. ☺ ● Walk facing traffic. ● Spread out volunteers in groups of 3-5 throughout your assigned area to cover the most ground. ● Pick up any visible litter, including cigarette butts, and place it in the supplied trash bags. ● Bring all filled bags back to the park or designated location. Leave any large or very heavy items next to a road sign at an intersection and let your site supervisor know so they can alert KACB to arrange pickup. ● If you need assistance, call Steve Szanca, KACB Interim Executive Director: (352) 371-9444. If it is a medical emergency (someone bleeding, knocked unconscious, etc.), call Emergency 911 first. Have fun! Turn in supplies and complete summary sheets. Thanks!!!
