Tudor Plopeanu is a percussionist with feet (and hands) in both traditional and experimental approaches to performance and improvisation. A graduate of Humber College's Bachelor of Music program, he has hit stages at TUJazz festival, NXNE, countless venues around Ontario and Quebec, and continues to record new projects as drummer, composer and producer. Tudor draws on eclectic tastes, including 60s post-bop, 70s indian jazz fusion, and 90s hip hop, to create analogues on identity, discovery through adversity and the subjective nature of memory.
