The History/Social Science Teaching BA is a rigorous, forward-looking degree program that prepares future middle and high school History teachers for California’s public schools. Students combine strong historical training with hands-on classroom preparation, learning how to teach diverse learners, meet state credentialing standards, and foster critical thinking and civic engagement in today’s classrooms. Established in 2025, this campaign supports the first-ever scholarship at CSUEB dedicated to History teacher preparation. Your gift helps promising future educators enter a profession essential to our schools, communities, and democratic life. By easing student debt and financial stress, this scholarship allows future teachers to focus on becoming effective, reflective educators from the very start of their careers.
