Ngoc's Thesis: Inclusive Teaching in STEM Survey
The survey aims to serve as an assessment tool for students to review and reflect on the level of implementation of practices that encourage diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) by the instructor within the course. Equitable teaching practices creates an inclusive environment that address the differential levels and types of support each student needs to achieve success as well as to include all students in the learning process. This survey is based on a framework that envisions equity to revolve around 3 central dimensions: (1) creating an inclusive and engaged environment, (2) teaching critical and relevant content, and (3) resource equity and accessibility. The survey will ask you to rate the impact of each teaching practice on a scale of 1 - 3 (with 3 being the most positive), as they were implemented within the course.
