"Dil Ba Dil" Online Group Support Registration Form
"Dil Ba Dil" (a Dari phrase meaning "heart to heart") is a trauma informed, culturally sensitive, and early intervention weekly support group project for Afghan refugee and newcomer women. Our vision is to empower Afghan women with the tools they need to continue their healing journey as they resettle in Canada. This weekly support group is a brave space for expression, connection, and information for Afghan refugee women to promote their mental health and wellbeing. The project will run from February 14 - mid to the end of March, once a week on Wednesdays between 6 pm-8 pm EASTERN. This project is being funded by HUMANITI and facilitated by ABRAR Trauma & Mental Health Services.

This project is a trauma informed, culturally competent, and art based weekly support group project for refugee and newcomer women. Our vision is to empower newcomer women with the tools they need to continue their healing journey as they resettle in Canada. This weekly support group is a space for expression through art and sewing, making new friends, and information for women to promote their mental health and wellbeing. The project will run from June till Sep in Hamilton, ON at the HCCI office: Date & Time: Monday 5 pm - 8 pm EST Location: 423 King Street East Hamilton ON, L8N 1C5 This project will include art, sewing, and cooking activities. This project is being facilitated by ABRAR Trauma & Mental Health Services and Funded by the Hamilton Community Foundation

Hamilton: Youth Support Group registration form
At ABRAR TMH, we offer a support group where we engage in discussions on topics relevant to the needs, current issues, and interests of youth and students, with a specific focus on newcomers, immigrants, and refugees. We provide a safe, courageous, and comfortable environment for sharing. Our support group meets bi-weekly on Tuesdays at 5:00 PM EST in person at 1 James St N. Join us for meaningful conversations and a supportive community. Snacks, art, and fun activities will be provided.

At ABRAR TMH, we share the pain and grief with the ongoing genocide in Gaza and will be holding healing circles for those exposed to war trauma, other traumatic experiences and for those who are facing an increase in trauma-related thoughts, emotions and memories. Our healing circles will be on Thursdays weekly at 6:00 PM EST. Will be held virtually via zoom.

Original survey deadline was November 30, but it is now extended to December 15. Section 1 | Introduction: This survey is for anyone who identifies as QT-BIPOC* living and/or receiving services in Hamilton, Ontario. It is created by ABRAR Trauma and Mental Health Services as a part of Project Intersect/ACT, and your responses will only be visible to ABRAR's team. Your responses will be used to inform our toolkit, which provides tips and resources that will aid service providers in being better Allies and decrease barriers. This survey will take about 10-15 minutes.
