Biological Bloat.

What is the ultimate objective for an ai based future? Remove enough cognition from the system without it collapsing.

Without the advancements of technology, humans would be left shipping scrolls by bird, asking for directions, and walking to the nearest destination.

At what point do we begin to question the validity of these advancements? Perhaps when spend becomes a by product of a bloated workforce. The workforce then being seen not only as unnecessary, but incompetent. Because why else would you substitute humans for machines? Because you assume the machines can do it better, faster, and don’t have a complaint mechanism within their capabilities.

Now we dive deeper into the possibility of manufactured creativity. Because bots program unintentionally. It’s the human that has an agenda. The technology is just a tool. Yet and still, even tools need to be used according to their intended purpose.

The Cognitive Collapse.

When the internet was invented, it was beneficial to society. It helped connect more people, save more time, and money. Now the internet is killing us. Making us dumber via reliance on automated tools that fix our spelling, give us the correct answer without thinking, and causing us to forego our values, for likes, comments and subscribers. Imagine a person being exposed to this world before they can even speak in coherent sentences, and seeing how much of this screen time warps their cognitive abilities into adulthood.

Personality-Problem Connection.

Average problems could lead to uninteresting discoveries and solutions. This of course is a generalization. In other words, you rise to the level of life’s problems; assuming you rise at all. The confounding elements are not only environmental or cultural; they are also psychological in terms of one’s personality and temperament. If the problem aligns with who you are and how you are, you’ll find purpose in arriving at the solution. If the personality to problem connection is incongruent, stagnation or staying stuck wouldn’t be out of the ordinary.

We need it.

How important is spirituality in your life?

It’s one of the most important aspects of my life. Being connected to God is the reason I’m here. Praying, reading the word, trying to do good and be good are so beneficial to our existence. People seem lost without the spiritual component.

Be honest. Be blunt.

What quality do you value most in a friend?

Probably honesty or bluntness. I also value friends that simply want to be friends. Although I struggle with casual relationships and connections. I often like there to be an ultimate goal we’re working towards, but that could be the reason I’m not as close to friends as I once was. Anyway, find honest and blunt friends. This way you’ll always get constructive criticism and feedback without being offended.

What is happening to us?

As the world constantly looks down at their screens (including me while writing this) we miss things. These things we miss can not be captured via video or through photography.

It’s the intangible moments. The “I love you’s”. The moments of growth, togetherness and true connection. Awareness of the here and now is another thing that can only be enjoyed then and there.

We need to make life in the physical world to become more interesting than this virtual drug. Otherwise intelligent quotient’s decrease, purpose is unfulfilled, and fear becomes the controller.

Connection to others.

You don’t really connect with others until something clicks. Once you find out you both have read the same 2 or 3 books, or were born in the same city. If your birthdays are close together, it brings a different energy into the mix. You want that person around you more because you feel like they get you. They won’t judge you.

When dealing with strangers it’s exactly the same. You don’t really know until you know. Than there is friendly vibe that takes over the rest of the interaction.

Learn to find common interests, and similarities. Once you do that you’ll never be shy again.

Well, have you done it already today?

Everyday we get another chance to do things differently, better, and to be more accurate in our delivery. Everyday there is something that needs to be done. Beyond laundry. Beyond eating. Beyond the normal daily stuff.

A connection needs to be made. A transformation of insight needs to happen. Something meaningful needs to happen. Something big, or something small. Make it your business to be responsible for making that necessary connection.

Seth calls it making art. Not painting. Not musically. More so the feeling that occurs between two or more people when they genuinely mix energies. Holding a door for someone who just insulted you. Treating different people differently.

It can be with friends, or family, or strangers. Go.

Take one please

What could companies do to increase their presence in such a technology driven world?

Give away one free item in their store to all first time visitors. It’s expensive but I think the story it creates among consumers is well worth the after affects.

Consumers begin to visit just to ask if things are actually given away for free.

What companies do with that connection is entirely up to them.

Connecting the internet to feeling loved

We all need to feel connected. Every last one of us. Even the loners want to sit at the same lunch table with the other loners. Jocks with the jocks. Cheerleaders with the cheerleaders. The top 20% with the top 20%. You get the picture.

What’s the big deal?

The big deal is feeling like we belong to something or someone. We need to be talked about. We need to be touched. We need to feel loved to some degree.

It gives us confidence. It give us reassurance. We become a little more brave. We take a little more risks. All based on knowing someone is there to talk to us or hold us. It is scientifically proven that people with more friends are less depressed.

Just look at what social media does for us. You can create a profile. Make it say and do whatever you want (honesty is always best). Strangers discover you. If they like you they can follow you. Poke you. Add you. Message you. Email you. Tweet you. Snap chat you. Send you gifts. They can include you in so many things. The best part is, most of it is free!

If you don’t like something or someone just hit delete.

The internet and social media give strangers the opportunity to fall in love with other strangers lives without having to show up at their front door.

The beauty in this: everybody gets a chance to be next.

The downfall: everybody gets a chance to be next.

Human interaction will forever be

We’ve been inside of this technology age for a while now. We cling to it. We need it. We want it. It makes the world run much faster. International connection has been proven from your bed room to shanghi.

Email.
Skype.
Face time.
Live chat.
Video conference.
Instagram.
Facebook.
Twitter.
Smart phones.

Yet we still write letters.
We still meet up for coffee.
Schools still operate.
The movies.
Night clubs.
Reunions.
Cookouts.
Living rooms.
Road trips.
Holidays.
Parks.

Something that we’ll always come back to and never give up is genuine and physical connection. Everything else will change. But a hand shake, hug, high five, kiss, and a room full of laughter will outlive the tech world.

Start over

I’m at a point in my life now where I’m just tired of the bullshit. I want bigger and better things to take place. I’ve worked incredibly hard to get where I am now but the game plan has plateaued a bit.

Now it’s time to re-group. I’m back in the lab cooking up what I’m hoping is more brilliance. Maybe I could lose all of my great ideas that have stemmed from other great minds. I don’t know. It’s a scary thought but I’m willing to stick around and find out.

At this point innovation is everything. It’s time to recreate and rebuild everything.

If your stuck and need help rebuilding your empire just start on a blank slate and go from there. Keep it all you. Fight for an organic connection and keep it fresh.

Poetic efforts

Damn girl I want to talk to you 21 hours a day and listen to everything you have to say.

But being that doing that would kill your vibe and disturb my drive I only sigh in relief when we repeat the connect taking place between you and me.

With this space let’s replace the past and add a new chapter full of laughter right after we have mental stimulation through intellectual conversation about male domination and blacks overcoming slavery.

If my sexual orientation was “right now” I would be a clown instead of being concerned every time you frown.

To make it last is to accept the past and what was had I’m just so glad to be a spec within your glimpse and hope never to miss every opportunity to create unity between you and me.

Social Media Minajatwa

Something I think all businesses need to add to their arsenal is a social media department. It’s an inevitable part of life and technology today and is only gaining the interests of more people.

There should be a head male/female that answers all questions about their company logo, products, history, fiscal year, uniforms, return policies, holiday specials, etc.

Even better there should be a 24 hour rotation team on call so that at any time of the day there is someone there for every customer. Not just a call center filled with people.

I mean literally to the point where if a customer wanted to skype so they could show you what was going on with their product due to complications of some sort. The ability to face-time with customers if they are on the go.

If companies had a better and more intimate connection with their customers there would a lot less returns and more revenue being brought in.

But hey i could be wrong about all of this.

But tell me, how cool would it be to have questions answer about your macbook, or any other non apple product you have at 3:39am, by a real life person over facebook chat or twitter instead of having to wait until they open up to everyone else at store hours?

I believe it would add a huge level of comfort and comfort leads to trust. Every customer wants to trust who they buy from.

Mesh the connection

Back in 2009 I was introduced to a producer. I was looking to delve into music more seriously so we both decided to work together. At the time both of our styles were very mediocre but we tried to make it work.

When we started making music together it was turning out really good. So we kept working together and trying to take things to the next level.

Here’s the thing that killed us: our personalities CLASHED! Big time! It started to become this back and forth strain of whose ego and pride was the biggest. Who was more passionate. Although the music sounded great, the relationship was falling apart. We couldn’t mesh a sincere enough connection.

We would have fallout after fallout and keep trying to tape things back together. As we grew it got worse. We were not able to find common ground. I made it my business to stop understanding him in person altogether. I knew why we were not mixing together well but I began to keep it to myself and eventually we cut everything off.

This hopefully can be a lesson to you when working with others. Make sure you mesh a real connection with someone before get to deeply involved in the working aspect of things. You’ll do work together that is more efficient and on a higher standard.

When egos and personalities get in the way the work almost immediately turns into mediocre work. The mesh connection is what gels and oils how the two people bring what they bring to the table.

The connection

Even if we’re worlds apart we all have that thing. We all have a connection in some way. Even if it’s small and barely noticeable. There will always be a common threshold amongst your colleagues. So even when things seem polar opposite remember the commonalities that  do exist.

Try using them to your advantage when things get dull.
