Not sure how they could be confident in the idea of selling hardware to users right now, considering even the cost of thin clients is stupidly high.
Maybe there’s something I’m missing here.

Oh man, I loved the opening and ending to Zeta gundam which it turns out he wrote. Rest in peace my friend.

64gb of ram is very useful for 3d modeling and other hobby arts.
Used to be cheap AF too. Shame

Shouldn’t a wishlist mean that it isn’t shipped at all though? Why would wishlisting expose your home address?

Yeah… As someone who uses fightcade occasionally, moderation on these services when they’re non-federated are a real problem.

I think it’s pressure to try to get him to pull out of deals with Chinese memory manufacturers.
It isn’t going to work though. The industry is too fucked right now and apple needs to partner with Chinese memory manufacturers if they want to produce hardware this year.

The world’s first opt-in computer worm. 🐛 🪱

Cool. Wasn’t sure about the idea of more evangelion but I’ll keep an open mind. It’ll be interesting to see what Tsurumaki has left to say in the Eva universe and it’s definitely very interesting that Yoko Taro is working on the script. So it’s easy to say it beat my expectations.
Wouldn’t it be better to just make downvotes clamp to zero?
I get not liking the rat race of up vs down votes, but the scoring is designed to help spam prevention itself.

It will still show the channel in search results, which really sucks if they’re a prominent channel in a specific field.

I find it so crazy that there’s no “Ignore this channel” feature on Youtube.
Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to prevent people from blocking or ignoring channels they hate?
The Sally Bowles Effect

Used products in Japan are generally stupidly cheap. Something about the culture makes it so that people generally look at old devices as worthless and non-new devices are occasionally shunned.
Anyway, good write up and grats on the PSP. Good luck with the next one too.

I get it, but also the internet sucks these days and it’s hard to make money on advertising alone. I can’t blame a reputable journal for asking for money to see the articles they publish, and since I tolerate all sorts of patreon business models, I have to be realistic in thinking that this is going to be the only path forward for real journalism. It’s a shame, but it just seems to have worked out this way.

Amazing how the party of “freedom” chooses to ignore the nazi obsession of the shooter and instead focus on the gender identity of the shooter. How very “woke” of them.
However, let’s be real here, they just want to make us all mad about this. They wouldn’t go through with this as they don’t really have the means to do it on a federal level. This is the issue with governance by trolling; It’s pretty weak once you realize most of it is dog and pony show nonsense.
Regardless, let’s all stand along the transgender community and call this shit out as it is: News manipulation to make a minority feel further unwelcome and create fear mongering around the misunderstood.

Excluding the fact that banning something only serve to make a less safe black market thrive be it drug, liquor, sex or gambling
They probably want the black market for gender affirming hormone therapy to be a dependency, as that means they’ll be in control of the goods and prices. They also have a history of trying to extort the transgender community to force them into work as sex workers, see Epstein emails for context on this.
Granted, you’re right. I was mostly just curious if there was an associated chat room for this instance as I’m really just trying to find active matrix spaces for the upcoming discord exodus so I can build a directory of neat communities.
Neat but I’m getting errors just loading the page.
A better browsing experience is definitely a nice idea though. I wonder if we couldn’t just improve the UI/UX of the actual peertube web interface though so that all instances benefitted from this work? (For example, allow setting up aggregate indexers on the instance settings (links to json repos) so that channels that exist on other unknown instances can be found quicker.)
To be fair to Cash for Clunkers, the intent was to get people on better gas efficiency cars, not to downgrade people to worse cars. California policy is the one that mandated cameras on newer cars, but also to be fair there it does reduce incidents of crashing during reverse.
I think Microsoft shouldn’t really be making plans around windows based on the state of the government today and should be concerned with how it changes just 6 months from now.
