Emacs. Emacs is the true answer
I think the idea of an actually usable home screen is great and has been long overdue. I personally am not a huge fan of google’s material design, but that’s just me. But I’d also really like to see the run arbitrary command thingy that they have in the mockups. Something akin to ssh over kde connect would be lovely!
I see. I misread your original comment and I thought that somehow both of you could use it at the same time
Would you mind sharing a bit more about your setup and how y’all use it? I’m just curious, not gonna give any unsolicited advice
Yeah, true. It certainly is a romantic view. But I don’t know, the mind yearns for an escape from the rat race in this capitalistic system
Not saying it’s easy, but I think in some ways, it’s quite a bit more fulfilling with the effort to payoff ratio. Plus, I assume it might work in a pleasant way if one actually has a community where people are willing to help out and do things together
The rabies of mushrooms
All these new fangled TLDs, they seem to be bad ideas. But on the other hand, we do need new domains…

Any source on the grapheneOS? Because everything that I’ve read about it says that fairphone just doesn’t meet the hardware requirements for graphene’s security models

This is true for me as well and kinda hurts. Dawkins in particular was quite a big part of my radicalisation pipeline/growing up. His books also helped me go through some stuff when I was questioning faith and my beliefs. I still think his books had a very positive impact on me and my approach towards science. But yeah, it’s heartbreaking to see him (and the other horsemen) turn out be a bit of the very thing they swore to destroy
Did I misread it or are there really planes with 5 seats in a roe?
Can you not do it from the toilet?
Nah, this doesn’t seem like a valid argument. A lot of companies these days have a ton of unnecessary employees

Just wanted to add that Debian officially offers live GUI installers with a bunch of DEs just like other mainstream distributions :)

Off topic: why are you linking via the internet archive instead of using the canonical link? If link rot is a concern, it’d be better to leave a comment with the archived version so that we don’t unnecessarily load up the Internet archive
Networking isn’t my strong suit, so this might be a stupid question. But what exactly is a hardware firewall? Is it the same thing as my Internet facing router blocking incoming packets which haven’t been requested from “inside the home” network?
Evil mode for the win!
