I'm a 21 year old nerd. About 6 years ago I started writing full stack software on the web as I went through the PHP → Express.js → Next.js pipeline. I got my start writing code on the front-end only, static websites and so on, but my interest has shifted largely to the back-end.
My other interests include the outdoors, dynamic routing in computer networks (BGP, OSPF, other IGPs), telephony (especially PSTN witchcraft), and learning Swedish.
Cool facts: I'm non-binary and bisexual. I've been part of the scout movement since I was six. I'm training to become part of Iceland's volunteer search and rescue forces (HSSR troop). My name literally translates to "Arctic Tern" in Icelandic.

- Developed software to speed up modern payment terminal configuration. Developed software to speed up onboarding of modern payment terminal profiles still connected to legacy acquirer systems.

- Developed a new website for umb.is in Next.js integrated with Contentful headless CMS and styled with TailwindCSS, following a design specification from a studio, to modernise the firm.
- Created API documentation with Swagger UI and OpenAPI.
- Collaborated with cloud engineers to set up a deployment pipeline for umb.is to AWS as part of a larger migration at RSF from on-prem to the cloud.
