You're getting downvoted but you're seeing the big picture.

The way elections work now, Democrats know they don't have to cater to coastal cities. They got the big EC votes in the bag as long as they pay minimal lip service

Not so much because "vote blue no matter who", moreso "republicans are verifiably, objectively evil and the system is rigged to prevent a third party from succeeding, so this is the only choice".

No, the real battle is the purple states.

When you consider the current media landscape (and mainly the fact that nearly all local and national broadcast, and print media, and major social media, is owned by pedos or pedo sympathizers), I sincerely do not think that a progressive message will be able to penetrate that information bubble deep enough to get the state.

So they gotta cast a net that appeals to a majority of those voters.

Which is probably not possible with a PoC or any body who sits to pee, which is another problem all together.

This is all also assuming a free and fair election, which I'm having more doubts on every day.

JasonDJ ,

an op-ed for Fox News, Labrador described the poster as “DEI messaging disguised as inclusion”

Uhm...

Ya know. I'm not even gonna correct that. They can just remain being idiots.

Tell me more about your Auntie..."Fa", was it?

JasonDJ ,

Would like to see an alternative poster...

Just like this one, but "NOT Everyone is welcome here", and one of the hands has a Nazi armband, and that one has a circle with a line thru it.

Would that be too "political"?

JasonDJ ,

It's ironic because they want the return to Jim Crow while at the same time being refused service by shops.

JasonDJ ,

No, you see it too. I think you need a background of watching fox news for a couple of years for that to sound like it makes sense.

Either that or they realized that viewer/reader comprehension and critical thinking no longer is a necessary factor in what they say.

JasonDJ ,

It wouldn't work, at all.

You've got USB to db9 serial, to db25 female, back down to db9 serial. At this point, since the chain started life as a USB to serial adapter, this should be a functional serial port.

But then, it gets converted to PS/2 mouse. Then to AT keyboard, then back to PS/2 mouse, before becoming a USB port again.

That's not how it works.

You see, he should have just plugged the dongle directly into the usb port on the laptop.

JasonDJ ,

Of course.

Rotisserie Chicken is a loss-leader. But that smell stimulates your appetite and gets you to buy more.

Plus you're gonna want some high-margin foods to go with it. Maybe some veggies, potatoes. Box mash is a pain in the ass when the chicken is already cooked, may as well get the pre-made heat-and-eat stuff. It's right here next to the chickens...

Plus if you get box mash you need to get milk and butter too...and walk nearly the entire rest of the store to get all three.

This is basic supermarket psychology.

JasonDJ ,

I used to have a bread machine and it came with a recipe for potato bread that used instant mash and it was so damn good.

I got rid of it after I gained like 100lbs. Still have the 100lbs but don't have the bread.

His name was Robert Paulson.

JasonDJ , (edited )

Does he have bitch tits?

Ain't no doubt about it. He was doubly-blessed.

You think that's crazy....wait till I tell you that the theme song for the Disney show "Spidey and his amazing Spider Friends" was written and performed by Patrick Stump of Fallout Boy fame.

JasonDJ ,

If it's hard candy she's looking for, she should start her investigation at the White House.

JasonDJ ,

If you do that, then next time around you have to sing "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy".

JasonDJ ,

My grandpa used to say to buy land because they ain't making any more of it.

Clearly he's never been to a major coastal city.

JasonDJ ,

The whole reason the right wants to abolish the "welfare state" is to have a pipeline of poor and hungry children to sell as sex slaves.

Anybody who complains about "the welfare state" just wants cheaper access to child sex slaves.

Change my mind.

JasonDJ ,

JasonDJ ,

Do you want The String Cheese Incident? Because this is how you get The String Cheese Incident.

JasonDJ ,

Terrible, yes...but great.

JasonDJ ,

Windows is becoming increasingly hostile and really I think the only reason people and businesses still use it is mass Stockholm syndrome.

JasonDJ ,

I find it amazing that I can't play offline Xbox 360 games, that I own, on series S, without Gamepass, without first signing out of Xbox.

Wtf?

I cancelled Gamepass a few weeks ago and the first "tell" that it was cancelled is that my kids Minecraft Java Edition wouldn't work because it was using my Gamepass. I could've sworn I had merged my Mojang account years ago, but couldn't get my kid back online without buying it again.

JasonDJ ,

21H2 wasn't that bad, by comparison to 24H2.

But that's like saying George W wasn't that bad, by comparison to Trump.

Yeah, it's true, but you're comparing road apples and pedophiles.

JasonDJ ,

F'real. And lots of specialized software has marginal support for Linux at best, so it ends up being a chicken/egg problem. There's no business software for Linux because nobody uses Linux for business because there's no business software for Linux.

I hope many other IT orgs will realize that it's so much easier at the end of the day to thinapp them through a platform like Omnissa or whatever Citrix is calling theirs now.

Then, hopefully, Linux numbers go up and it gets treated like the first-class citizen it deserves to be.

The idea of atomic linux desktops in an enterprise setting tickles me in a way that would get me called into HR.

JasonDJ ,

Never heard of it. But we are a .mil contractor (among other things...we put a lot of R&D into civilian tech and biomed, and that's almost entirely funded by the blood money, so my conscience is conflicted, spare me more lecturing) and security is paramount.

So I'm pretty much telling everyone I know at work about this now. Especially as we are teeing off a move towards more VDI, more cloud-first (.mil makes us lag behind on that stuff). This...it's everything I wanted.

JasonDJ ,

I'm a white boy but in highschool my best friend was 1st-generation Chinese-American.

His parents owned a Chinese restaurant that I worked at...Americanized Chinese, like everyone in America is used to.

While I worked there his parents also opened up an authentic Chinese restaurant.

Most of the stuff on the menu, Americans would ball at. There were dead ducks and pigs hanging in the window.

But I tried cow tongue there for the first time. It was amazing. And something else with white sauce I don't remember what it was but it was so damn good.

I had a falling out with him, and the parents lost their restaurants in COVID.

JasonDJ ,

I'm a Fry Cook...despite really wanting to be the manager of the Krusty Krab 2.

JasonDJ ,

Nah you're missing the bigger picture. Sure, millions of people will die, but thousands of orphan children will have the opportunity to be forced to become sex slaves for Trump. That's way more profitable than giving away free medicine.

JasonDJ ,

My oldest wanted to learn guitar. So did I. We are taking lessons together.

My youngest loves video games. Highlight of his week is when I can sit down and play with him.

Both my kids love reading and arts and crafts, which my wife also enjoys much more than I do.

Why can't you and your kids have overlapping interests? When you're raising the kids, it's normal for them to be curious about the things you enjoy. Kids hobbies and interests end up overlapping or reflecting their parents more often than the other way round.

My oldest also likes Minecraft. My youngest loves soccer. Neither of us really enjoy either of these things. But we do also enjoy seeing our kids developing interests and personalities of their own. If that means we have to spend an hour a week going to Pee-wee soccer (and, meanwhile, hanging out with other parent friends), so be it.

JasonDJ ,

What really dislike about child-free adults...is when they become child-free great-aunts and great-uncles.

They want to spoil the kids as if they are grandparents while also having no idea what kids actually need or want, or what is healthy for them.

And then they ignore the kids parents because they are still the parents aunt/uncle and to them, they are just a kid.

JasonDJ , (edited )

I said great-uncles and great-aunts.

Uncles and Aunts tend to mind their own business. They see the kids parents as peers (because they are) and generally respect their decisions.

It probably has more to do with being old and not seeing your baby nibling as someone who can handle being a parent themselves, now. They wrongly assume age=wisdom and totally forget that they have 0 parenting experience to look back to.

And they come out of the word work for it, too. They're retired boomers on that good DINK money. They got wads of money and nothing but time. So now they want to be involved all the time.

JasonDJ ,

Tread on me harder, daddy.

JasonDJ ,

What ever happened to predictability?

JasonDJ ,

What?

No.

Darwin married his first cousin, yeah...that was the social norm at the time, not long ago.

But he hypothesized and later proved that the inbreeding was a direct cause of his children's poor health.

I wouldn't say he was a fan of inbreeding, just a reluctant participant who eventually warned us of its dangers.

JasonDJ ,

No.

BMWs are just pickups for assholes with office jobs.

Everything is going to be soldered except on some mid and high-end corporate laptops within a couple generations. Those, and desktops will use CAMM. My prediction.

Torx is a superior screw though. On low-torque applications, sure, Phillips is a bit more convenient.

Reason being, it's very difficult to cam-out or round a torx head if you are using the right size driver.

Torx are absolutely my go-to for general construction screw, when I'm using an impact driver and can zoom zoom zoom. Quite satisfying.

I think the reason torx wins in laptops and pre-built PCs is probably because they are much better for assembly-line or automated assembly. The right tools are always there and will always securely grab the screw.

If you slip with a screwdriver on a main board, you can easily destroy the main board. Making torx superior for large-scale assembly.

My dad wrecked his Abit BH6 back in the day, trying to secure the slotket for an upgrade (to a Malay Celeron 300A), due to the screwdriver slipping out. Managed to slice an SMD capacitor right in half. Good for him, even at like 55 he was able to hand-solder a replacement in and revive the board.

We had asked every living organism to vote for what the smartest species is, and the vast majority were for humans.

JasonDJ ,

Nobody expects the Glorgon inquisition.

JasonDJ ,

It gets even worse when you realize that the reason why these people don't want social programs is because they need poor, vulnerable kids to prey on. They managed to convince people to literally sacrifice their children, albeit quite indirectly.

Makes you think about USAID...and wtf DOGE may have destroyed there. DOGE's whole point was to burn as much evidence as fast as possible. Wonder how many of those 125+ year old SSI beneficiaries managed to show up to vote in 2024.

JasonDJ ,

I wonder what came first, the alignment of the current axes of power, or the elite pedophile gang rings that operate within them.

JasonDJ ,

Why does Pam Bondi look like Violet Beauregarde?

What advice or tips do you have which sound like nonsense but really work?

When I can't sleep, I turn around and sleep "upside down" - moving my pillows to where my feet were beforehand, and my feet to where my head was beforehand - and I stick with that for a week or so. It gives me a week or so without insomnia and then wears off, so I have to turn myself back around for the next 7-12 day period. ...

To them, they didn't so much "kill" her, they "cured her terminal TDS".

What's really scary is that I'm sure that this "father" isn't the only one who thinks this way. I worry that there's a lot of other "fathers" that would hurt their own flesh and blood because they differ politically. This is the reach of that child-fuckers cult.

Edit to add, from the article:

Although a jury declined to indict Kris and he faced no charges in relation to his daughter's death

Well there it is. White dude in Texas shoots his daughter over TDS, and a"Jury of his peers" looks the other way.

JasonDJ ,

I'm gonna guess there's no significant hurdle to getting a psych eval in your European country. No expensive medical bill, no worrying about time off from work to get it.

We hyperfocussed so much on that "shall not be infringed" part that we managed to give up our health and the best 40 years of our lives to the machine.

Yet another reason to hate on the worse DB in existence

Larry Ellison and his two friends and former co-workers, Bob Miner and Ed Oates, started a consultancy called Software Development Laboratories (SDL) in 1977, later Oracle Corporation. SDL developed the original version of the Oracle software. The name Oracle comes from the code-name of a Central Intelligence Agency-funded project Ellison had worked on while formerly employed by Ampex;[7] the CIA was Oracle's first customer, and allowed the company to use the code name for the new product.[8]

I'd take any allies I could get in this battle.

We don't have to agree with every politician on everything. We don't even have to agree with our chosen aligned parties on everything.

We do have to support politicians that are protecting the interests of Americans.
