HiP2P Client is a desktop application for viewing and managing P2P-enabled IP cameras, DVRs, and NVRs. It uses a unique device ID (UID) to establish remote connections through firewalls and NAT without manual port forwarding, making setup straightforward for home and small-business surveillance. Typical capabilities include multi-channel live viewing, playback of recorded footage, video export, local recording and snapshots, PTZ control, two‑way audio (when supported by the device), motion/alarm notifications, and remote device configuration. Often bundled by various OEM camera vendors, the exact feature set can vary by device model and firmware; for best results, keep device firmware and the client updated and use strong authentication settings.
