I believe in industrial unionism in every sector especially against corporations trying to rip people off. I believe individuals should be limited to 1 house per person with exceptions of those selling and buying a house at the same time. I believe the minimum wage should be at least 10 dollars an hour, I believe that in areas with poor internet service should be nationalized. I believe undocumented immigrants should be deported to a city that is the US should try to massively develop right across the border in Mexico that is built for mainly cycling and at the edge of the city have an airport and a train station. I believe the US should annex all their territories as states. I believe the co-ops that are employee owned should be the standard method of employment and that all factories that make products domestically or internationally have to meet certain safety standards. I believe vegetables should be subsidized over meet and vegans should get a small tax break as a symbolism gesture due to the diet consuming less water than a meat eaters or vegetarians. by IronJess@lemmy.today reason: Racism |

i think it's sufficient to say that putting someone in a situation where harm is inevitable and unpreventable is wrong to do without their consent, and that since it's impossible to consent to being born and there's no way to avoid all suffering that there's simply no ethical way to create a sapient being.
no tallying required, and i reject the idea that pleasure or happiness can "make up for" what i've suffered, that's like punching somebody in the face and then buying them off. You still punched them and it was still wrong to punch them without asking, even if a lot of us would agree to being punched for enough money.
