Commissioning

The States of Guernsey is very proud to work with on-island charities, providing them with more than £5 million in 2024 for them to deliver important services for our community through formally commissioned agreements.

Charities are often best placed to understand the needs of the community and can use their expertise to deliver services in a way that is effective, efficient, and flexible to meet Guernsey's ever-changing needs.

The States of Guernsey has commissioning agreements with many charities and non-profit organisations, covering a range of services including mental health, employment, children and young people, art, sport, environment and animal welfare.

The videos below highlight some of the benefits of specific agreements between government and local charities. More videos will be added over the coming months.
