This End of Life Training Course develops certified death doulas and end of life planners. In this unique 12-module program, students will learn the major pillars of death care—emotional, practical, legal, and spiritual.

We are so excited that you’ve chosen to apply for the Going with Grace End of Life Training Program.  This program will teach and reinforce the skills necessary to support others through the dying process. Whether you desire to do this professionally or to be of support for your friends, family, and community, this is a powerful first step in this direction. Bravo!

As a part of Going with Grace’s ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility and affirming the role of a death doula as a form of activism, we prioritize our intention to continually seek ways to develop our program in a manner that welcomes our diverse community of students and alumni.

To support this commitment, we have crafted this application as a means to gather information about our students and your individual levels of experience, the passions you are already arriving with, the identities that you walk with that are meaningful to you, and your familiarity with the topics covered in the course. The intention of this application is for us to get to know you better and give you space to explore these questions in a way that will also help you to clarify if this course feels like a good fit for you. The information received from your application will also allow us to provide you with specialized support during your course.  

We acknowledge what it takes to share openly about aspects of your identities, particularly in a time in the world where we are witnessing deep levels of social, political, economical, and ecological crisis and uncertainty. These reflections from you will give us insight into the community in each cohort and we thank you for your honesty and vulnerability with a reminder to only share what you are comfortable with. 

Your application submission is good for one year. We acknowledge answers will change given time, and therefore after a year has passed ask you to resubmit your application.

Your course contribution is either $1495 or $1895 depending on your learning preferences. For $1495, you will work in a self-study program, with complete access to videos, exercises, and assignments to be completed in your own time. For $1895, you will work in a virtual classroom directly with your Going with Grace Facilitator who will offer feedback, live calls, and discussion. Both of the options have payment plans available. Upon submitting this application, you must pay the application fee to complete the process. Your application fee is a non-refundable $25 and will be applied directly to your program fee whenever you choose to undertake the training (within one year after initial submission).

Please bear in mind that your answers will not be saved in the form and will be deleted if you navigate away from the application page. In order to avoid having to re-do it, complete the application and submit the fee when you have adequate time to do so. You will have an opportunity to review it and make changes if you wish under the Edit Details section before you pay the application fee.
