On the 23rd of August 2024, the unthinkable news hit our family, from suffering from headaches, Will, my brother-in-law collapsed, our local GP, acted quickly and believed that he had a bleed to the brain and was urgently referred to Brongalis A&E and was rushed for brain scans.

Unfortunately, we were told the devastating news that they had found a very large and aggressive brain tumour (glioblastoma). Will was then rushed to Cardiff Hospital and prepped for brain surgery, we were told all the risks but underwent the surgery which was a gruelling 7-hour long. Thankfully, Will came out of the surgery and is responsive, up, and walking. However, we were then hit with news on the 17th of September that although they removed 99% of the brain tumour, Will was only given a life expectancy of up to 12-18 months. Although we are hopeful that he will exceed this expectancy, we also want to make as many memories as a family and see and explore their bucket list.

Will has and been together with Leanne for 14 years, and married in 2022, and has a beautiful family with three young children, 12, 10 & 3. Will is only 32, nobody ever expects to be given such devastating news at such a young age, he has always juggled two or more jobs to provide for his family but now they are in desperate need of meeting their bucket list and exploring their most desired countries and creating those valuable memories as a family.

Those who know the Parry family, they already love exploring and ticking countries off their list. Although we are going to try and get them to see as many countries as possible in this short amount of time - Will's priority country is, Canada. They have always dreamed of exploring this beautiful country - although, as I'm sure many of you can relate, life gets in the way, and funds are tight, so we always end up saying we will try and go next year. However, the time has come when they must live in the present and seize each opportunity as a family, whilst they can. Therefore, they are hoping to go and travel to Canada in a Campervan and go and see Wills's bucket list which includes:-

Vancouver Island, Pacific Rim, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Calgary Provincial Park, and Whistler.

As I'm sure you can imagine, that this will be quite a costly journey, however, we hope that with the help of friends, family and the community, we can make this wish come true.
