My name is Zeina, I’m 10 years old from Gaza. I write this message with a heart full of pain, but still holding on to hope.

On October 30, a bombing destroyed my home and took the lives of my father, my sister Farah, my brother Ahmed, my grandparents, uncles, and their children. I was the only one who survived. Since that day, everything in my life changed.

I now live with my two older sisters. We have become homeless, hungry, and sick. Every day, we lose more family members. I feel like death is chasing us. My mother is in Cairo, doing everything she can to bring me to her, but we don’t have the money.

Before the war, I was just a little girl full of dreams — I wanted to study, play, and grow. Now, my only dream is to survive and reunite with my mother. I can’t find enough words to describe our pain. I just want a safe place, a chance to live, and to be a child again.
