The Gazing
Principle

Our method is rooted in the philosophy of Musashi, the legendary Japanese swordsman. His mastery came from the ‘double gaze’: one eye on the immediate challenge, the other on the bigger picture, with the ability to shift seamlessly between them.

In high-pressure sales, this ability is everything. Your teams need to focus on the customer in front of them whilst never losing sight of the strategic objective.

Read the situation. Adapt the approach. Execute with precision.

This is what separates teams that perform well under pressure from those that crumble.

A bit about us

Gazing was founded more than 25 years ago by Martin Fairn, Dr Ceri Evans, Renzie Hanham and John Esposito. Our founders brought together world-class expertise from psychiatry, business, education and international sport to answer one question: how do you help people perform consistently when pressure is highest?

The result is a methodology now trusted by global organisations across industries.

From Fortune 500 enterprises to fast-growth businesses navigating critical transformations, we’ve worked with teams facing the highest-stakes challenges.

Whether you’re executing a major transformation, preparing for a career-defining pitch, or navigating the relentless pressure of leadership, our approach gives you the structure, skills and mindset to perform when it counts.
