Brand new to this! I just cleaned up a spare laptop and downloaded MAME along with LaunchBox. I downloaded a few games like Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct (along with associated chd files) from the Internet Archive. The games work in MAME and show in Launchbox which is great. I'd like to download what I believe is called a "ROM set" where there are thousands of arcade games and not just download one at a time like I did. I've searched and read a lot, but I can't seem to find a place to actually download something like this. Can someoone point me in the right direction? I also hear things like merged vs. split, but again, I can't seem to find a download for one or the other. I'd like to download a large set and if I'm missing any games I want, then I can download individually and add them. HOw do I do that?

audio split HDMI Split on tv and no audio out monitor at the same time
MijacOnAir posted a topic in Games
Hi guys, I have a question regarding splitting HDMI image and audio. My aim is to do it with PS4 but you can apply this to any other system, console, emulator and that is why I am posting it here. I would like to play on the tv and my computer monitor. That is easy with a 1 input 2 output hdmi splitter. Issue comes when my monitor does not have an audio output and I also want to get audio out (tv is easy as it is using its sound bar sound). So how can I get audio at the same time on my monitor and the tv at the same time? Ideally I will be using headphones so I can play on the monitor and some friends can hear it through the sound bar on the tv. Many thanks in advance! -
Using the same idea as @le_el ( this post ), I modified the code to split the main core and the info file, and all new cores have yours own options. Ideal to use a different shaders/overlays/remaps/overrides for each system. Instruction: Windows Place the two files in “cores” folder and run the .bat. The main core and the info file will be splitted. If run the .bat again, the splitted files will be recreated. Android (by @le_el) Copy from /data/data/com.retroarch/cores/ and /data/data/com.retroarch/info/ (you may need root), and put on somefolder\cores\ and somefolder\info. Run the .bat from inside the somefolder\cores\ folder and it will do it’s job. Then put back the new files from both folders back into/data/data/com.retroarch/cores/ and /data/data/com.retroarch/info/ (again, you may need root). If the Android’s retroarch can allow to change the core/info folder to the sdcard or main memory, it should be easier and avoid the need of root. Thanks, @le_el, for your method and, @RetroFans, for testing. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEGA SYSTEMS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Genesis Plus GX - GN | CD | GG | MS | SG Windows - Download Android - Download --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PicoDrive - GN | CD | 32X | MS Windows - Download Android - Download --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gearsystem - MS | GG Windows - Download Android - Download --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reicast - DC | NM Windows - Download Android - Download --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NINTENDO SYSTEMS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mesen - NES | NFC | FDS Windows - Download Android - Download The custom palette “MesenPalette” is the same for all cores. I have a new computer build with 250GB M.2 SSD (largest I can afford at this time) and WD Black 5TB HDD. I need to place emulators, roms, bios, etc in different partitions. What should be on the SSD to get best performance. Could really use the advice. Thanks
