Mo' Colors for your Game Boy Color - Lights Out! Retroarch Bezels View File I have edited some alternate colors to go along with Mr. RetroLust's platform bezels for Retroarch (specifically the GBC ones), which you can find here: I liked the idea of having different colored GBC bezels per game, so I added a bunch of basic colors not present in the original variants. This includes new flat and transparent colors, de-saturated versions, and a simple black one... totaling to 27 new overlays. Because why not. You can use the save game override option in Retroarch to save the bezel per game, and/or you can pick one to use by default for your GBC core, using the save core override option. The files are in the folder structure: overlays/_MR.RETROLUST, so you can simply drop overlays into your Retroarch directory. GIMP .xcf file is also included separately for convenience. ┏(^0^)┛ CREDITS: Mr. RetroLust for the original overlays! Submitter d66dle Submitted 01/08/2026 Category Platform Bezels/Overlays

Drymouth Platform: Nintendo Game Boy Color Genre: Puzzle Gametype: Homebrew Release Year: 2001 Developer: Steve Demeter Publisher: Unpublished _________________________ Drymouth is a puzzle game that's akin to Mario's Picross released on the Game Boy quite a while ago. In its most basic description, Drymouth puts you to the task of removing blocks in a grid to reveal a specific image. You must read the hints on each vertical and horizontal lines to know which blocks you have to remove and which should stay put. Much like Minesweeper (the old Windows puzzle game), the numbers indicate the proper blocks that need to be removed, but it's up to you to know how to read the numbers to find the tricky blocks to click. And, of course, you're racing the clock, but as long as you remove blocks, you'll add seconds to your timer. Drymouth-Video (GBC).mp4 * I am not the creator of the game, but I am the creator of the media. Apologies for the very low quality video, but it's a really old video for a very old home brew game that I noticed never got a proper entry here. I had just created the box and cart tonight after I noticed there was no entry here, and wanted to share it. I haven't played it in over 2 decades and couldn't tell you much about it other than it's Picross. There is still some interesting information about the game hidden in a few IGN articles from nearly 25 years ago if you want to google them. Though I won't post the rom here, it was released to everyone as Public Domain at some point and should be very easy to find. My apologies also if I uploaded this wrong and/or to the wrong place. I did try my best to put it where it belongs.-

I was sick of seeing crappy Nintendo Game Boy Color box images in my collection (I made this set years ago in lower resolution with the annoying Game Boy Color logo on all the spines). I remade all boxes in high quality HD with accurate spines on most boxes. All USA games and Euro exclusives are included, along with many Japanese exclusives that can be played in English. Most spines and boxes on the USA and Euro games are all retail accurate, some spines may be custom made if I couldn't find proper source images. As always I included PSD templates for the 2D and 3D boxes if anyone wants to include their own games not included here. About 669 games have been done here. Also included are cropped fronts and spines. This system was a big pain finding suitable source art. For some reason GBC (and also GBA) are a lot harder to find HQ scans than the original Game Boy games. I got lot of images off ebay and thecoverproject, but most of the covers were standard low res 500x500 that I had to enhance and clean up. Most came out great. There are some covers that look pretty awful like International Superstar Soccer 99 (USA). I could not find a decent source image for the north american release anywhere! I image enhanced a crappy 200x200 thumbnail image I found and replaced the logo and its doable for now. NHL Blades of Steel (USA) is another one that was tough to find. Big thanks to all the logo wizards in the forums who helped create some clear logos for some of these boxes. Feel free to let me know if there are any errors. If anyone has better scans for some of these covers let me know, And if anyone wants to upload some of these to the Games DB, by all means do so. Enjoy this collection!- 2 comments
