PieFed.World support

I don’t normally care about my cakeday, but I was confused.

I recently decided to try out Piefed.World, after using Lemmy.World for so long.

After spending a couple of days mostly interacting with PieFed via Thunder, I’ve logged into my account on piefed.world and no longer seem to have a downvote button. What’s happened here? I cleared all the site data for the piefed.world domain, logged in again and I’m still seeing the same problem, both for posts and for comments.

Trying to load my feed, inbox, or profile page is frequently (not always) taking multiple minutes, which is unusual.

When I try to search for posts with keyword “piefed” I get “No posts match your search.” The same for any other keyword I tried and also when search for comments. Searching for communities works. On a different piefed instance(piefed.social) this returns a lot of results as expected.

I did import blocks from my lemmy.world account, and the process did not carry over instance blocks. When I use the 'Block all posts from user's instance' it does show the instance on the block list, but only half or so of the blocks actually keeps posts from the instance from showing.

After yet another encounter with a tankie roach, I am increasingly getting annoyed with Lemmy (the frontend/platform, not the community).

what am i missing? click image button, get markup template, ''. or paste image in 'body', nothing. probably go fishing in console log. might be dropping some cross-site script or something. firefox.

The books community on Lemmy.world has a couple specific threads that seem to be missing old content when viewed by accounts on this (PieFed.world) instance. We run a book bingo and there is a post with the rules and a separate post with recommendations and when I am using my PieFed.world Account I can see any new comments added to it, but I don’t see any of the old comments. This is particularly problematic on the recommendations post as those comments contain recommendations for each of the squares in bingo.

So I was curious about the image issue posted in https://piefed.world/post/297175 , but the post wasn't loading any images, so I checked with my lemmy.world account and the post isn't present in https://lemmy.world/c/support@piefed.world , as of this moment piefed shows that the above post is 2 hours ago (should be around 2:30), but on lemmy.world, last post is still 3d printing.

Would it be possible to add c/lemmyshitpost to Piefed.world, but drop the "lemmy" part of the community name? Unless someone else has claimed the name, simplifying it to c/shitposts would be ideal.

Could c/memes from Lemmy.world please be added?

I've never used passkeys before so might just be my ignorance. I've added a passkey to my account and it's saved in Bitwarden but I don't see an option to use it. The login page asks for a username / password and then below the login button says "or use a username and password:". Am I doing something wrong?

I’m happy to moderate or admin for the Books community over here either as a sister community or a transitional one away from c/Books to Piefed. I can’t speak for Dresden, but I suspect They’d be open as well. I am currently a moderator on books and run the book bingo.

I've been donating to both lemmy.world and (puke in mouth) lemmy developers, and I like to vote with my wallet. My understanding is piefed is effectively an alternative to lemmy for more or less the same content. I think the dot world donations would be going to the same locations (lemmy.world and piefed.world and mastadon.world are all https://fedihosting.foundation/hosted/ ?), however I'd much rather throw the cup of coffee I buy @desalines every month to the piefed developers.

I'm a current mod of lemmy.world/c/tenforward and would like to make sure it exists on piefed.world as well.

I just discovered Piefed and I'm interested in checking it out. I've found this instance and in many aspects it would fit me
