When the boiler developed a dripping leak today, I was able to just let it be, arrange an engineer (we have a service contract, they’re coming next Wednesday) and put a bucket under it to catch the drips. 2. #3goodthings @3goodthings 1. I've resurrected the swiss cheese plant. It had collapsed over the lounge table overnight. It was a rescue plant but with care it's grown, and has become a true monster.2. Lots of rain, the garden is grateful. I haven't watered the flowers during the drought, only the vegetables had some water, but even so the flowering plants have done amazingly well. 3. Had time to rest and read a book during the afternoon.

I had a dream with my grandmother from childhood. I got to hug her in my dream. It was bittersweet.

#3goodthings @3goodthings 1. The cats seem less reactive to each other.2. Fluffy dog and I are planning a walk for this morning that includes cake.3. The hedgehog is still visiting and eating the hedgehog food that I put out with a bowl of water. Extra feeding is needed as the drought means that there is llittle natural food for them. They need to gain weight to survive hibernation. I'm hoping this one will benefit from the evening meal, and stay around.

It's Saturday morning in the Melbs, and it's been pouring on and off all night and this morning, plus wind. I'm enjoying it... while I'm indoors.

#3goodthings @3goodthings 1. Some friends called round.2. They had brought a hand knitted tea cosy with them (I had had an accident and damaged the previous one). This was a very kind thought.3. The two boy cats avoided conflict, they are not friends but they are tolerating each other.

Kitty alarm clock was 5:30 am today because, despite running the aircon overnight, senior rescue cat wanted to nap on her fave chair on the balcony. She’s been singing the song of her people aka “hello, wake up Crissy” meows 😆

I’ve been having some tough mental times lately. Feel like maybe better things are on tap this day/week. I’m going to try some gratitude with #ThreeGoodThings:

I cried after a meditation this morning. I really needed that. I'm grateful that my soul could get that release.

#3goodthings @3goodthings 1. This group is a very good thing. Sometimes it's not easy to see the good, but just putting this list together does help combat negativity. Also reading other folk's good things is really encouraging.2. Had a more restful day, spent some time sitting in the garden with a book.3. Fresh Turkish figs from a tree I grew from a cutting.

Good and bad things have happened this week, but let's look at some of the good.

I'm learning from the mistakes I make. Yesterday for example, I may have eaten too many dates, or too much ice cream, which resulted in really bad heartburn. I learned that just because I'm upset about my back pain, doesn't mean I need to go eat about it.
