Notepad is a great editor, but its limited features can make it difficult to navigate and organize the provinces of different countries. The EU3 Savegame Editor is an advanced tool that makes sorting provinces easier, and can also be used to mix audio, stream media, and create movies.

Notepad is a very good editor by itself, but sometimes a little more explanation of the different fields would clear up a lot of the confusion. One thing that Notepad cannot do, for instance, is sort countries province within an easy to navigate form.
