Technical Summary

This document specifies an Application-Layer Protocol Negotiation
(ALPN) ID for transport-layer-secured Constrained Application
   Protocol (CoAP) services.

Working Group Summary

This Informational draft registers an ALPN token for CoAP over DTLS, with the
expectation that this will be used for discovery in SVCB records. This is
primarily as a dependency for draft-ietf-core-dns-over-coap, being submitted
for publication in parallel, but will also be available for general-purpose
use with CoAP in the future (see draft-ietf-core-transport-indication).

Document Quality

The registration itself is simple and has occasioned little comment on reviews.

Personnel

The Document Shepherd for this document is Marco Tiloca. The Responsible
   Area Director is Mike Bishop.
