February: We are planning being home all month; however, with my family situation (see January recap) that could change. LIVE shows will be on the 1st, 5th*. 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 19th*, 21st, and 22nd. The ones with the * are Thursday ROCKS! shows. Teasers will be posted on Cabochons, Beads, and More and Seaside Stones - Online Rock Shop, as well as on our Facebook page, our Instagram account, and our TikTok account. (See LINKS and MORE below). Plus, Chris will be posting daily on Cabochons, Beads, and More.
One housekeeping item - We try to use the @everyone feature on our Facebook groups sparingly since we personally find it to be an annoying feature. However, if you've turned it off, you may miss important updates from us. I use it to announce the e-newsletter, Chris uses it for live shows, and we both use it for important updates, like shipping delays.
On to the January recap! We hope you enjoyed Customer Appreciation month on Cabochons, Beads, and More and during our cab LIVES. Many customers snagged a free cab or two and a few rapid payers snagged three or even four. Rumor has it that you will still see cab sales posts on the cab group since Chris had more sale posts ready to go. , and the ability to snag up to four free cabs (info about this will be posted tonight on the cab group).
January turned into a busy month. It started with my metalsmithing workshop in Portland, which was good, but I was distracted. The same day we left for Portland, I had a bit of a family emergency in New York. I dealt with it from afar and then Chris and I headed to NY after the workshop. Fortunately, it wasn't major, but unfortunately, it is not completely resolved. On less drama notes, we had a couple of amazing aroura nights, quite a bit of snow, and really cold temps since we got back home.
What was new in January? Too much! On December 29th, we got in a new shipment from Indonesia, then we got another one while we were traveling. There were lots of new carvings, some were already on Thursday ROCKS! and some with be on the next Thursday ROCKS! We also got several new petrified wood and agate cabs (among others). We have been showing them on our cab lives. If this email isn't long enough, let's talk March and April - Heads up! We will be traveling ALL of March. We are not yet sure of our last shipping day, probably February 27th. We can't be sure since when we leave is weather dependent. Please plan accordingly. We will resume shipping on or about April 6th. We will probably not resume drilling until we are back from our April shows, so on or about April 22nd.
