Experience
In this role, I’m responsible for developing and implementing interactive and visually stunning applications
using Unity Engine, collaborating closely with a talented team of developers and designers.
Key Points:
- - Creating interactive and immersive VR, MR, AR, and PC applications for clients across various industries
- - Collaborating with Modelling & UX/UI teams to deliver polished applications meeting specific client needs
Education
BSc (Hons) Computer Games Programming with Diploma in Professional Practice
University of Derby
2021 – 2025
During my degree, I developed a strong foundation in computer science, mathematics, networking, and real-time graphics, alongside advanced skills in game development using industry-standard tools such as Unreal Engine.
In the final year, I specialised in game programming, these are the standout modules:
- - Game Behaviour:
Developed a Backrooms-inspired game in Unreal Engine, implementing core gameplay systems including an inventory system, physics-based puzzles, and multiple AI entities with interdependent behaviours. The project also explored dynamic environmental mechanics such as shifting level geometry, as well as visual techniques including light baking and fluid simulation.
- - Game Development (Team Project – Lead Programmer):
Worked as the lead programmer in a multidisciplinary team, responsible for the majority of gameplay systems. This included player movement, puzzle logic, interaction systems, inventory management, and subtitle systems, contributing to a polished vertical slice experience.
- - Independent Studies (Dissertation):
Completed a dissertation titled “Creating a Horror Game That Utilizes Player Separation to Enhance Fear and Tension.”
Alongside this, developed a short networked multiplayer horror experience where players are intentionally separated to enhance tension, supporting the research through practical implementation.
