About CoderOasis
A developer-led journey through tech, blogging, and building a platform for open-source and gamers alike.
CoderOasis – or another older version of the site – was originally founded in 2011 when the Lead Editor and Author Traven announced plans to start blogging about programming, web development, cybersecurity, and other interesting topics that he thought people would enjoy.
He mainly wanted the articles to be highly informative for the programming and cybersecurity communities — helping people learn something new or see things from a fresh perspective. Over the years, the blog has gone through several name changes, periods of writer’s block, and honest struggles with motivation to continue the journey of being a blogger.
This version of the blog — known as CoderOasis — was officially re-launched on September 25th, 2021. We believe that ideas in technology are constantly evolving, being rethought, and reshaped. So we aim to explore and write about a wide variety of topics that reflect this dynamic field.
The blog is powered by the Ghost Blogging Platform, while web analytics are powerd by Umami. Both are fully self-hosted to ensure reader privacy, transparency, and full control of our stack.
