You were looking for some feedback on whether or it worked with a fish plugin manager.
fisher is github based so it only downloads the github repo which is just the README and License.

The function and completions install fine manually, thanks for the tool!

According to fisher's readme, it seems as though GitHub is just the default, which can be omitted, no?

Wanna install from GitLab? No problemo—just prepend gitlab.com/ to the plugin path.

Does that not work with codeberg.org/, too? Let me know. If it does, I'll add clearer instructions to the readme file. Otherwise I'd consider it a missing feature of fisher.

Does not seem to work with codeberg.org/ I tried with sr.ht/ as well. Neither worked.

I agree it is a missing feature of fisher, hopefully we can move tech off the "github as default".

I made a note of the incompatibility to the README, but also set up a Gitlab mirror. So fisher install gitlab.com/alinnow/scriptura might work.
