Understanding Planned Giving
Planned Giving offers a meaningful way to support CCC through arrangements made during your lifetime—whether through your will, estate plans, or long-term financial strategies. These gifts often provide tax advantages while aligning with your personal goals and philanthropic vision.
Ways to Create Your Legacy
- Bequests: Include the Chinese Community Center (CCC) in your will or living trust.
- Beneficiary Designations: Name CCC as a beneficiary of a 401(k), IRA, other retirement plan, life insurance policy, or financial account.
- Donor-Advised Funds: Recommend a grant to CCC from your donor-advised fund, or name CCC as a successor or beneficiary organization to support our mission over time.
- Employer Matching Gifts: Multiply the impact of your donation by submitting a matching gift request through your employer’s matching gift program.
- Charitable IRA Rollovers: If you are 73 or older, you may direct up to $100,800 annually from your IRA to CCC tax-free, which may also count toward your required minimum distribution. Please consult your financial or tax advisor for details.
- Gifts of Stock or Property: Donate appreciated securities or other assets to strengthen our programs while potentially reducing capital gains taxes.
