- The Chinese Community Center now offers free assistance to residents interested in applying for TANF, Healthy Texas Women and Social Security Benefits (e.g. SSA Retirement, Family / Survivor Benefits – RSDI, Disability Benefits – SSDI and SSI).

FOOD STAMP/SNAP
The program provides monthly or one-time financial assistance to low-income individuals and families to buy essential, nutritious foods for good health in a specified period of time. APPLYGOLD CARD
The program offers discounted healthcare to eligible Harris County residents who are uninsured or underinsured. It’s not insurance but cover medical costs in-network hospitals/clinics. APPLYMEDICAID & CHIP
The program provides health coverage to low-to-moderate income children, adults, families, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with disabilities for a specified period of time. APPLYMEDICARE SAVING
The Medicare Saving Program (MSP) provides health coverage to the low-to-moderate income children, adults, families, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with disabilities for a specified period of time. APPLYUTILITY ASSISTANCE
The Utility Assistance Program (CEAP) supports low-income households living in Harris, Brazoria and Galveston Counties in Texas with payments of their electricity, gas or propane utility bills. APPLYWEATHERIZATION
The program assists the low-income families to focus on replacing or upgrading existing electric resistance HVAC systems with new and high-efficiency energy systems in order to reduce the utility costs. APPLYWIC
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, popularly known as WIC, is a nutrition program for pregnant, breastfeeding women & families with children under 5 years. APPLYHEALTHY TX WOMEN
The Healthy Texas Women (HTW) program is dedicated to offering women’s health and family planning services at no cost to eligible women who age in between the ages of 15 – 44 years old and living in Texas. APPLYTANF
The Temporary Assistance For Needy Families (TANF) program provides monthly or one-time cash payments to help families pay for food, clothing, housing and other essentials for a specified period of time. APPLYSSA RETIREMENT
The Retirement benefits are monthly payments from the Social Security Administration (SSA) designed to replace a portion of a worker’s pre-retirement income when they retire or reduce their work hours. APPLYSOCIALSECURITY RSDI
These family benefits provide monthly payments to eligible spouses, ex-spouses, children, and some grandchildren of a worker who is receiving retirement or disability benefits, or who has died. APPLYSOCIAL SECURITY SSDI
Social Security Disability Insurance managed by Social Security Administration provides monthly benefits to people who have a medically determinable disability that stops or restricts their ability to be employed. APPLYSOCIAL SECURITY SSI
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) provides monthly payments to adults or children who are 65 or older, blind, or disabled with little to no income or resources with proof of legal aliens, and financial/medical evidence. APPLYDISASTERS
We provide assistance to individuals and families residing in areas officially declared by state or federal authorities as affected by natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, storms, floods, or fires. APPLYOTHER ASSISTANCES
