This is a very common issue with many Broadcom wireless cards on Linux. The bug report correctly points to the problem: the open-source drivers that come pre-installed in Ubuntu often don't work with your specific hardware. The solution is to install the proprietary driver, which is what the broadcom-sta-source package (now commonly known as bcmwl-kernel-source) provides. https://www.peryourhealth.io
