clock-app crashes easily when editing/adding alarms

Bug Description

this is plaguing me for a while on my N4 running devel channel; still happening on latest promoted image: #179.

reproduce:

 1. open clock app with an existing alarm already set
 2. change or add new time for alarm
 3. save
 4. observe it very often crashing during save
4a. observe it very often crashing after save, when the alarm clock page reloads the data

If this doesnt happen on first try, try a few times and it will surely happen. Big blocker for my personal dogfooding of touch being my only phone.

Interesting observation that might be related is that sometimes if i edit an existing alarm it doesnt have the HOUR and MINUTE so i cannot even edit it ... e.g. it displays purely ":"; maybe related as a cause or result of the crashes during save.

If you need anything and don't see me answering quick enough, i am always on IRC as asac in #ubuntu-touch; if asleep will come back when awake on IRC or here as you need.

Let me know if you need further info, but the repro instructions should be easy above.

Thanks!

Hi Alexander, thanks for the bug report and for dogfooding the clock app. Sorry about the crash, it was rather annoying for me as well for several months. Unfortunately the bug was due to the Ubuntu-ui-toolkit. However it has been fixed in the latest devel image #189.

Just wanted to mention one thing before marking this bug a dupe of other bugs that we were tracking related to the crash. The project that you submitted the bug against was incorrect. The official clock app project is https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-clock-app.

We have requested the launchpad devs to delete https://bugs.launchpad.net/clock-app, but I think that takes time.

Hopefully you will have a better experience in the next promoted image :-).

Funnily enough the fix for this crash is just way too small :D
