BuddyPress 1.8.1 is now available. This is a maintenance release, which features improved compatibility with WordPress 3.6, as well as fixes for some RSS feeds, the meta_query parameters in the Groups and Activity template loops, and the Groups Extension API. This is a recommended update for all installations of BuddyPress 1.5+.
