About the challenge

BUCS Hackathon 2026 is a casual and creative one-day hackathon where students can build fun, experimental, and innovative projects.

It’s about creativity, exploration, and building something you’re excited about.

Get started

  1. Form a team (at least one team member needs to be in BUCS).

  2. Brainstorm ideas.

  3. Decide your tech stack and project scope.

  4. Build, test, and iterate.

  5. Submit your project on Devpost before the deadline.

  6. Present your demo to judges and fellow hackers.

Requirements

What to Build

Create a fun, creative, or technically interesting project. This is an open-ended, beginner-friendly hackathon.

What to Submit

Each team must submit the following on Devpost:

  1. Project Title & Description

    • What you built

    • What inspired it

    • How it works

  2. Source Code

    • GitHub repository link (public)

    • Or uploaded source files

  3. Built Demo (If Applicable)

    • Live link

    • Or clear instructions on how to run locally

Submissions must be completed before the deadline announced during the event.

Projects should be built during the hackathon.
