Why was this included on Dekkoo? When there is a quick scene of the two female friends quickly kissing and then showing them in bed, it cuts to one of them searching for a guy.
The rest of the film was a total bore. I
I assumed the men in this would also hook up with each other, as there was tension. It would have made this more interesting.
I watched this because it had 2 actors from the film Metalhead in it, but it was definitely as boring as the other lbd reviews say, and also quite depressing. Everyone just mopes around.
So a derpy looking photographer guy seems to befriend the husband of a couple he's sort of stalking or whatever, but then doesn't tell the husband when he sees the wife of said couple screwing someone else. Even worse, the derp later screws the wife himself!
The entire plot is basically that the wife sleeps around and repeatedly tries to justify it to herself and everyone else.
Come on - cheaters are the worst! If you want to be promiscuous, tell your spouse you want to…
when a movie like this postures this hard as a A24 film, it becomes unwatchable, so much so that it cannot be finished
Dead and absent women cause a man to have feels, but in an ethereal way, you know, with “artistic” female nudity and nonsensical pseudophilosophical dialogue.

تجربة غريبة لافلام الفراغ والخيانة لكن بجرعة درامية اكثر تحية للمخرج اللي خلاني اكمل الفيلم كامل
This film thinks it has something important to say... it does not.
- Think: Older person writing “edgy”, resulting in a pretentious (and boring) perspective on relationships.
Mopey pretty people in a pretty place, trying to overcome their melancholia by hooking up with everybody, but failing to make real connections due to incompatible morals and expectations or whatever. There's very much a Jesus Franco vibe but it doesn't really work in English, and Iceland seems like the least Franco place on Earth.
That house though. No wonder the creepy protagonist keeps sneaking around, staring at it. He doesn't appear to be a very good photographer and he is extremely annoying through the whole movie, which may be the most strenuous part of watching this pretentious mess.
Surreal, dreamy and obscure, Autumn Lights is an American-Icelandic-French mystery thriller set in the remote Icelandic landscape as an outsider is forced into a strange world that surrounds jealousy, obsession and loneliness. Heavily inspired by the work of Ingmar Bergman, Autumn Lights sets out to achieve a similar look, creating a heavily stylised chamber drama that American director Angad Aulakh has taken from various art, photography and film influences.
The story follows David (Guy Kent), an American photographer adrift in a remote Icelandic community. After discovering a deserted crime scene, David is implicated in a local investigation and forced to remain in the area for longer than expected. It is during his time that he crosses paths with Marie, a…
