I am not a gigantic fan of this film, however it did walk so modern true crime dramedies could run. The car lot shoot out though? Best one ever put to film.

I wouldn’t mind directing a film in the old Edison style. I also like how he grows the monster like a Chia pet. Other than that, this is a product of its time.

This is going to polarize ALOT of people. I am already seeing it. The reviews are so divisive that it is almost like there are two different versions of the movie out there. For me, this was 1970’s art house at its best. Should it have been made for $200 mil? No, I don’t think this kind of film justifies that kind of budget. I am still glad it was made though.

The biggest challenge is there is no conflict in this film. It really is just a long 1960’s sitcom episode.
